Black and White Inspirations

 

Puriscal Valley View

I became inspired to try something different with photography. The abundance of the color green is intense in the tropics. I find that it often does not translate well in photos. It becomes too busy and the focal points get drowned out.

Leaf Patterns

I became friends with someone on Flickr who inspired me to seriously try black and white. These photos are some of my first attempts and I have to say I really like them and enjoy the process.

Layers of Trees

I found that black and white photography requires me to see the compositions differently than in color. There is a learning curve I need to nurture before it becomes second nature.
