About
Sally Rose Dolak lives and works on a mountain property in the Costa Rica highlands. For more than a decade photography has been her primary creative practice, sparked by the vibrant landscapes around her and deepened by a vintage lens that revealed new ways of seeing. Spiraling tendrils in particular have become a central muse.
After a break of several decades she has returned to embroidery, stitching small yantras and sacred geometry by hand. The same attention to form that draws her to the garden’s living spirals now finds expression in thread.
Through both the lens and the needle she seeks to share the patterns of this land — its colors, details, and untamed spirit.
